This exploration licence was pegged by the Company, at minimal cost, over open ground and granted in May 2017.
Low sulphidation epithermal mineralisation occurs in the massif of Chlm in hydrothermally altered pyroxene-amphibole andesite between Rudno nad Hronom and Brehy village. The deposit is formed by two groups of precious metal bearing, steeply dipping veins striking north-south, of 1 to 2 metres thick and 1,500 metres long. Only a 200 metre long segment has been subject to systematic exploitation.
Epithermal mineralisation forms 4 separate zones called from E to W – 1. Anna-Zubau, 2. Goldschramm, 3. De Deo and 4. Unnamed (De Deo west).
Anna-Zubau was sampled only at surface, UG workings are not accessible. It was the most intensively mined zone in the past. The central part of this zone was 40m wide and is proposed to be tested by drillhole RDDD001. Some very high-grade samples were collected around Zubau surficial digging returning up to 35.9 g/t Au – PR0518 – (average 11.4 g/t Au, 63 g/t Ag out of 5 samples). Relatively low Ag grades might be the reason why these samples were not processed.
In order to access zones 2 and 3 (Goldschramm, De Deo) we have drained Johan De Deo heritage adit and sampled 4 mineralised zones mined in the past. All these zones returned high Au-Ag grades. These zones are represented by stopes I to IV. Stope I represents zone 2 (shallow dipping 35° N-S trending vein) and stopes II, III, IV represent zone 3.
Zone 3 (Goldschramm) consists of at least 5 steeply dipping 65-90° veins up to 1 metre thick drifted from Johan De Deo heritage level. These veins were mined in the past, but probably not deeper than to the Johan De Deo heritage adit level (approx. 450 metres RL). Width of the zone is approx. 85-90 metres (easternmost to westernmost vein). A total of 18 samples were collected from this zone (mainly from floor and ceiling of development tunnels). The average grade of all 18 samples is 5.73 g/t Au and 416 g/t Ag. This zone is proposed to be tested by RDDD002 to RDDD004 drillholes (tab. 1, fig. 3).
Mullock samples from Krsla adit located in southern part of Zone 3 returned 6.8 g/t Au 290 g/t Ag from 7 samples (3 g/t Au equiv. cut off applied on 17 samples). Again, the high Au numbers are associated with chalcedonic qtz - sample no. PR0701. Drillhole RDDD004 is targeting the only stope recorded on old maps in the adit.
Additional parallel structures to W of the main Goldschramm zone intersected by Johan De Deo crosscut might be subject of UG drilling program.
